"RedTail" Exhibit
The CAF Red Tail Squadron is committed to telling the inspirational story of the Tuskegee Airmen, America’s first black military pilots and their support personnel. The mobile movie theater tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASP (women pilots), and the obstacles they both overcame to be able to serve their country during WWII. This immersive experience is housed in a climate controlled 53’ semi-trailer with expandable sides and equipped with a ramp and hydraulic lift to ensure access to all, comfortably accommodating 30 visitors for each showing. Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds.
Admission to the exhibit is always FREE to event attendees.
The FREE exhibit will be open to the public on Aug10-11 (approx. 10am-6pm) on Main St in front of the Akron RubberDucks Canal Park Stadium. Have a large group that wants to visit? Email noral@inspireaviation.org to set up a block time.
